Self-Care to Heal and Prevent Burnout – presented by Courtney Muir

Do the words “self-care” make you cringe? Or perhaps sigh with hopelessness? Or fill you with panic thinking about a growing to-do list? Courtney Muir is an LMFT: 97006 and President of her private practice, Equilibrium, in San Diego, CA. She has extensive training in DBT, gender issues through WPATH, and Mindful Self Compassion. She will show you how easy it can be to bring more self-care into your life in a way that doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable or overburdened. There is so much more to self-care than bubble baths! We will talk about what self-care really is and how its meaning has changed in recent years. We’ll discuss why self-care is an absolute necessity for modern life, how to use it effectively for preventing burnout or getting out of burnout, and how self-compassion is a crucial aspect of self-care. And afterwards there will be an opportunity for any questions you might have about making self-care a regular part of your life!

Access will again feature a brew bar where attendees can taste some of the best local coffee and other favorite roasters. Participating coffee sponsors are Cafe Moto (Brew Bar Title Sponsor), Copa Vida, and Verve. Other Brew Bar sponsors include kettles by Fellow, scales by Acaia, and grinders by Baratza.
